Autumn Tomlinson fell in love with woodblock carving in 2004 while attending the University of Oregon. In 2007 she graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Printmaking and began teaching workshops at the Material Exchange Center for Community Arts in Eugene Oregon. Upon accepting her first contract job in Germany in 2011, her passion for travel began. The time since has been spent living and working in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Antarctica which has informed her work in profound ways.

In the fall of 2017 she completed an Artist Residency at Dragon Dance Theatre in Trois-Rivières , Quebec Canada. The landscape, art, and community of the region brought her back to the Northeast in 2019. She is happy to now call Vermont home. Currently she is exploring a new body of work as an Artist in Residence at Studio Place Arts in Barre, Vt.
